Windowless Air Conditioners
Some people cannot afford mounting a window air conditioner. There can be many reasons why a conventional cooling unit doesn’t suit you. For example, you live in a room with no adequate window for an air conditioner. Or your room doesn’t get enough cool air from the air conditioning system installed in your house. There’s a nice solution for you. That’s purchasing a windowless air conditioner.
Pluses
- Windowless air conditioners are ideal for controlling the temperature in your room if the traditional cooling system doesn’t suit you.
- These cooling units can be used at home and in your office.
- They are handy and freestanding. You can easily move your cooling unit around the room, house, or office to find the best place for it.
- They can reduce your overall cooling expenses because they are much more energy efficient than traditional cooling units.
- They are affordable.
- An additional benefit of windowless air conditioners is humidity control. If your room does not have good cooling system, it can be difficult for you to sleep on summer hot nights, because it’s too hot and humid in your room. Placing a windowless air conditioner in your room you can sleep comfortably.
Minuses
- All air conditioners must be vented. Windowless air conditioners are not an exception. They need to be placed close to a window in order to allow proper venting. You can also use a drop ceiling or a dryer vent for venting
- All air conditioners drip liquid. In case with window air conditioners, the water drips outside the room. Windowless air conditioners are equipped with a tray to gather the liquid. This tray needs to be regularly emptied. If you fail to do this, the water will overflow and spill out onto the floor. Some windowless air conditioners have the mechanism, which shuts off the unit if the tray is filled.
